“The Province has not yet reached a decision regarding the status of Sept 30 in BC as the Province is continuing to work with Indigenous leaders, organizations and communities to best decide how to remember and honour the children who were taken from their families. At this time, it is up to each board to determine whether Sept 30th is a day of instruction, based on collective agreements and other factors. Instructional hours remain as set out in the School Calendar Regulation.”
